Submission Guidelines for Speak Up Online

• You must be 13-19 years old

• Include current contact information with your submission: name, email address, phone (if we can’t contact you, we cannot publish your work)

• Submit work in the body of an e-mail: NO ATTACHMENTS WILL BE OPENED and

• PLEASE NOTE submissions are no longer accepted by regular mail.

• All work must be your original creation (fiction, nonfiction, or poetry)

• Your pieces should be 2500 words or less

• Because Speak Up Online is an only an online teen literary journal...please keep this format in mind

• By submitting your work to Speak Up Online, you agree to the terms of publication outlined in the Grant of One Time Rights, if your work is accepted for publication. Review the Grant of Rights here.

• Please indicate if your work has been published before

• SUBMISSIONS ARE ACCEPTED AT ANY TIME (Speak Up Online published quarterly)
